Song List - May 9, 2008 - Sao Paulo
Again the introduction was made by the band...
JR entered the stage and sang the same songs he had sung on May 8, but the audience was even more full of enthusiasm...
01- Midnight Special;
02- A song from the new CD (still unknown);
03- Down at the House of Blues;
04- Seventh Son;
05- China (while introducing his Band and making very beautiful arrangements);
06- The Tracks of my Tears (and the audience was amazed!!!);
07- Middle: Mountain of Love / Lawdy Miss Clawdy (it was very involving);
08- Summer Rain (the audience sang all the time!!!);
09- Learning to Dance;
10- Another song from the new CD (I guess it is called "Beautiful World", anyway...it's very very beautiful!!!);
11- Poor Side of Town (the audience was amazed too...people love this one);
12- Rockin' Pneumonia (the rhythm made everybody shake on the chairs!!!);
13- Baby, I Need your Lovin' (in which the audience participated a lot again);
14- Memphis (Middle: the version from 1964 and the version from 1972);
15- It's too late (the audience sang a lot...people were very glad);
16- Do you wanna dance? (that he sang partly alone, partly with the band again. What called my attencion was that JR almost couldn't sing because the audience sang so loud, just like a huge choral, even huge and more enthusiastic than the night before... it was the most successful JR's song here);
17- Maybeline (back to Whiskey a Go Go);
18- Secret Agent Man (a wonderful performance.... as always...people sang all the time!)
Very good concert again!!!!! There isn't much to say.... JR is amazing!!!!!!

JR - May 5
Ontem foi um dia agitado para o JR no Brasil....
às 6 da tarde ele concedeu uma rápida entrevista à Rádio Kiss FM de São Paulo (http://www.kissfm.com.br/). Falou que está feliz em voltar ao Brasil, disse também que o show do Parque do Ibirapuera (em 1998) marcou para sempre sua memória. Depois observou que, de 10 anos pra cá, o número de carros nas ruas de São Paulo aumentou muito!
Uma pergunta feita: "Você canta o Amor... Suas musicas embalaram muitos casais em bailinhos...etc....etc.... você entende do Amor ? " Sua resposta .... Não.... (?????)
JR também disse que cantará músicas antigas e algumas do novo CD durante sua turnê pelo país.

À noite, foi ao programa Hebe Camargo e tocou apenas uma canção (The Tracks of my Tears)... somente voz e violão! Apenas 5 minutinhos ao final do programa.... a apresentadora falou apenas em português (o que o confundiu bastante) e cometeu uma gafe ao final, deixando-o bastante encabulado. Hebe deu um beijo no rosto do cantor, que ficou sem ação.... não houve entrevista, nem ao menos uma despedida... JR simplesmente saiu do palco enquanto Hebe fazia mais uma de suas propagandas......

Johnny Rivers volta ao Brasil em maio para sete shows
O cantor Johnny Rivers estará no Brasil em maio para sete apresentações. O autor do clássico "Do You Wanna Dance" começa sua turnê brasileira em São Paulo no dia 08 e se despede do país dia 16 no Rio de Janeiro.
Rivers ainda passa por Santos (09), Sorocaba (10), Curitiba (12), Brasília (13) e Belo Horizonte (15). Esta será sua terceira visita ao país.
Já à venda, os ingressos para o concerto na capital paulista têm preços que variam de R$ 100 a R$ 250. No Rio, as entradas custam de R$ 20 a R$ 500.
Rivers vem acompanhado de sua banda e deverá mostrar outros sucessos de sua carreira, como "Poor Side of Town", "Summer Rain", "Secret Agent Man" e "The Tracks of My Tears".
